Lego display...

My boyfriend collects everything, from bookmarks to holiday brochures. He usually keeps his collection in boxes, so when I saw his collection of Lego figures in a box covered with dust I decided to display it. I was inspired by other collectors and I made for my lovely BF a little display. I used an old picture frame, removed the glass, so I was left with just the cardboard backing from the old frame, then I painted  the cardboard with yellow paint. I choose yellow paint because I had spare yellow from bricks I bought from Ebay. When the paint was dry I took UHU glue and stuck the bricks to the framed cardboard and voila... I had the display.

The Mask..

In the beginning it was a bird's skull on paper (it supposed to be just a bird's skull), but then I changed my mind, and I added the girl's face, and suddenly the picture looked like a woman wearing the bird skull mask, similar to masks from Venice...

Now I have to finished editing it in photoshop.

Birthday Girl...

Today is my Birthday and I am feeling so old, thank god that I have fantastic boyfriend who has brought me the best breakfast in my life... pancakes with fruit, maple syrup and coffee and banana milkshake...

Changing mind...

Sometimes we have to step back, listen to others, do things which we do not normally do for the sake of love ones, negotiate, even change our principles and also compromise. So when my Bf told me that this year we should do something special for Valentine's day I did not tell him about my anti-Valentine's campaign, instead I went silent and said "yes that would be great idea"... sometimes we all change our minds...

Do like old treasures? Do you feel nostalgic when old places disappear to be replaced by luxury flats or modern shopping centres? Do you prefer books or a kindle? Do you still write letters or postcards? I have to say that I like technology, but there is nothing better than being able to smell paper and a flip through the pages of your book, so we are keep thousands of books in our bijou flat and I still like to ravish through charity shops for antique treasures. I have to say that sometimes I miss the good old times without laptop keyboards, just a person with his ideas and paper... PS I am keeping my diary...

Yes that day -Valentine's day -  is coming and suddenly everything turns red. Shops are stocked up with cute gifts and chocolate boxes, Florists have the most beautiful red roses on their stands and restaurants are full of  loving couples. I have to be honest I have never celebrated  Valentine's day, I did not like it all, for one simple reason: I have been always single on Valentine's day and all the cute gifts just for loved ones reminded me how "empty my life was" ( according to my mean girlfriends) but thankfully I have my hubby now, and guess what, we still do not celebrate Valentine's because we love each other all year round just not for Valentine's day... and we are buying cute gifts for each other all the time... because the love should not be just for Valentine's day...

The wall.

I like to frame everything, pictures, photographs, drawings, you name it. If I could I would stick the frames everywhere, even in my bathroom. So, from now on I am collecting used and new frames and me and my BF's pictures are going up on our wall. It is challenge because my lovely Bf has bookshelves everywhere so finding an empty wall is very challenging, but definitely not impossible. My inspiration? Here...
